The Problem with Traditional Lightboxes
Most lightboxes on the market function like traditional light fixtures, distributing light evenly for a uniform glow. As a result, a dark sky in an image receives just as much backlighting as a bright star, reducing contrast and depth.
Our Technology
Base Image
A Light-Up poster always starts with the image in mind. We use an image that has high contrast and focused lighting elements. Concentrated lighting is good as it allows us to harness much more light from our LEDs than a standard lightbox can!
Traditional Lightboxes
Traditional lightboxes illuminate images with a uniform backlight, creating a flat, evenly distributed glow. This approach lacks nuance, as it brightens all elements equally, without considering their natural brightness, characteristics, or intended visual impact.
What We Do Different
Here's how light looks shining from our backlight. Once we apply our engineering process, we are able to shine light only where needed. This lets us drastically reduce bleeding, control brightness as individual pixels, and dramatically increase the brightness of our images.
